Footage

This videos were shot in Gainesville, Florida, featuring local musicians and talents. All was shot on Canon, either SLR or XLR.

Highlights from the last year. One film finished and in the festival mix in Florida, another's principle photography wrapped and soon to be in full post-production mode. It's been a hell of a year.

The small pueblo of San Juan la Laguna (Solola, Guatemala) sits on the edge of Lake Atitlan - one of the most beautiful lakes in the world. Unlike most villages on the lake, San Juan plays host to few tourists other than for day-visits, and is home to an exemplary self-started push to improve the village. "Poco a Poco" (Little by Little) takes a close look at the life of Rosa one of the leading textile makers in San Juan, and explores the work she and the other many, many textile cooperatives in the village do to create tourist-attracting fabrics in traditional Mayan ways. The story of the textile cooperatives is a tale of both challenge, hope and happiness. This video was produced on location by an Actuality Media student crew and shot primarily with a Canon XA10. Producer: Angela Jacobus Director: Nayla Tawa Cinematographer: Noah Lamport Editor: Tesia Lingenfelter Actuality Media is on the ground with every student crew to oversee production of these short documentaries, providing the services of executive producer, production manager, location scout, additional editing, and whatever else is needed to complete the project. We are more than a film study abroad program.
